Charlotte has a Master's degree in Law from Hasselt University and a Social Work degree from Henallux Namur, Belgium. She is certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from the ACT Academy in Ranst, Belgium. She followed a postgraduate course 'Emotional Eating' at Artiva - Food & Vitality professionals in the Netherlands and completed a Mindfulness training at In-Mindfulness Hasselt.
She has been a member and volunteer of the two main Belgian associations for eating disorders ANBN (Anorexia Nervosa Bulimia Nervosa) and Anorexia Boulimie Ensemble. She led the weekly support group for ANBN-Hasselt.
Charlotte did set up her own practice in Hasselt and thus became one of the first eating disorder recovery coaches with lived experience in Belgium.
She then had the wonderful opportunity to gain experience in Australia and she could notice how differently eating disorders are treated on both sides of the world.
Charlotte founded Rewired Recovery and is now coaching worldwide from Perth in the beautiful Australia.
Charlotte speaks English, French and Dutch.

Approach

Charlotte takes an individualistic approach to help, guide, support, encourage, motivate, empower and challenge her clients in alignment with the Health At Every Size® (HAES) values. She likes to create a space where clients can grow, and become the greatest version of themselves.

Why Rewired Recovery

"Rewired Recovery" reflects the transformative journey of recovery and the supportive, empowering coaching environment that Charlotte provides.
  • Rewired suggests a fundamental change in thinking, habits, and behaviors. It implies a transformational journey where old patterns are replaced with new, healthier ones. It also suggests taking ownership of one's recovery journey. It implies empowerment and the ability to actively change one's life.
  • Recovery signifies progress, healing, and a positive trajectory towards well-being. This can be reassuring and motivating for individuals who may be struggling with the challenges of recovery.

charlotte - Founder, recovery coach and social worker

Charlotte is a Social Worker and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach with lived experience. She fully recovered herself from a decade of despair, tears, isolation and suffering.
Coaching people to achieve full recovery is more than a job, it is her passion.
During her own recovery journey, Charlotte was left with the feeling that something was missing
in the treatment she received. She wished she could have talked to someone who had been
there, someone who could give her hope that it is absolutely possible to fully recover from an
eating disorder.
